Bedford Industrial Automation Inc. (“Bedford”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, how we use it, who receives it, and your rights under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We are a business-to-business industrial automation and electrical contractor based in Dieppe NB.

2. Information you give us

When you submit a form (such as a consultation request or the savings tool), we collect what you enter, typically your name, company, work email, phone number, service of interest, and any message. You choose what to share; the required fields are the minimum we need to reply.

3. Information collected automatically

As on most websites, our server and security tools record standard technical data when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the date and time. We use this to operate the site, keep it secure, and understand aggregate traffic. We use essential and performance cookies for site function and page caching; we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

4. Third parties that may receive data, and why

To run the website we rely on a few service providers, and some necessarily receive limited data:

• Web fonts (Google Fonts). Some pages load a typeface hosted by Google; when they do, your IP address is sent to Google to deliver the font.
• Spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA). Where reCAPTCHA is enabled on a form, Google receives your IP address and interaction data to distinguish humans from bots, under Google’s own privacy policy.
• Hosting. Our website host stores and processes site data, including the server logs above, on our behalf.
• Email delivery. When form notifications are sent, the email service that delivers them processes the message so we receive your inquiry.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

5. How we use your information

We use what you give us to respond to your inquiry, prepare quotes and proposals, deliver and support our services, and keep records of our dealings with you. Automatically-collected data is used to operate, secure, and improve the site.

6. Consent

By submitting a form you consent to our using the information for the purpose you submitted it. PIPEDA permits the use of business-contact information to communicate about your inquiry or our services. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits, by contacting us.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, to maintain our business relationship, and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. After that it is deleted or anonymized.

8. Your rights

Under PIPEDA you may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw consent as described above. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No transmission over the Internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows the current version; material changes will be posted here.
