Edmundston

Edmundston lives off the forest. Pulp and paper, sawmilling and wood-products manufacturing shape the region, with food processing, light manufacturing and the water, wastewater and power systems of an industrial town around them.

The city also sits on the Route 2 corridor at the provincial and international borders. A Madawaska plant therefore runs a supply chain that crosses two provinces and an international boundary, which has real consequences for parts lead times and for how shutdowns get planned.

• Pulp and paper. Drive and conveyor controls, process loops, motor control centres, PLC migrations on lines that do not stop.
• Sawmilling and wood products. Saw line controls, optimiser interfaces, enclosures rated for dust and vibration.
• Food processing. Batching, filling and packaging controls, washdown-rated panels.
• Water and wastewater. Pump and lift station controls, VFDs, telemetry.
• Light manufacturing and shops. Machine controls, drive systems, panel retrofits, shop power.

Madawaska is the far end of the province, so work there is planned rather than treated as same-day response. It is the longest run on our network, and we would rather say so plainly than imply same-day response we cannot deliver.

What that means in practice: Madawaska work is planned around your shutdowns, and panels travel already built and bench-tested from Dieppe, so site time is wiring, commissioning and tuning. For a planned outage that is often a better trade than a nearer supplier whose scope stops at part of the problem.
