Inside Pneumatics

Platforms. We wire and program pneumatic valve banks from SMC, Festo, Parker and Norgren into Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Omron, Phoenix Contact and Unitronics control platforms, over IO-Link, EtherNet/IP or PROFINET.

Built and tested in our shop

The control side of a pneumatic system ends up in a panel, and Bedford builds those panels in its own panel shop in Dieppe. Every panel is powered up and tested on the bench before it ships, so faults surface at a workbench instead of on your production floor, and that panel work is done under Bedford’s QPS certification. Red Seal industrial electricians install and wire the assembly on site.

Straight answers

Common questions

Do you service compressed air systems in the Maritimes?Bedford has people across the Maritimes and covers Moncton, Saint John, Halifax, Truro, Amherst and Charlottetown, plus the plants in between. Compressed air work is scoped so one trip covers the whole system, from the compressor room to the cylinder at the end of the line.
Should I book an air audit or a pneumatics service call first? An audit fits when the whole system is suspect: the compressor works harder than production explains, or pressure sags at the far end of the plant. A service call fits when one machine misbehaves and the rest of the floor runs fine. Describe the symptom on the phone and we will say which one to book.
Do you do the wiring and the PLC work too, or only the air side?Bedford covers the pneumatic circuit, the control panel, the PLC code and the field wiring with one team. Modern valve manifolds are network devices, so the people who mount them also address them, map the I/O and write the logic. Nobody is left arguing over whose fault stopped the machine.
A pneumatic line let go mid-shift. Who do I call?Call 1-833-423-3367. Someone available answers, and service trucks roll to all three Maritime provinces from the Dieppe shop. Plant air and pneumatic breakdowns run through the same line as the rest of Bedford emergency work, so there is no second number to look up.
Is the first pneumatics visit really free? The first walk-through costs nothing. We look at the air system, tell you straight whether we can help and what it is likely worth, then you decide what happens next. No obligation, and the findings are yours either way.
