Platforms. We program and support Allen-Bradley MicroLogix, CompactLogix and ControlLogix, Schneider Modicon, Omron, Phoenix Contact PLCnext and Unitronics controllers, with the SCADA and HMI layer above them in Ignition, VTScada, AVEVA, FactoryTalk View, Weintek and C-More.

Written in-house, tested before it ships

Code is written in-house, loaded onto the panel it will run, and exercised on the bench against simulated I/O before it leaves the building, so commissioning on your floor is wiring and tuning rather than first drafts. The panels that carry that code are built and tested in the same Dieppe shop, under the QPS certification Bedford holds for panel work. That certification covers the panel, not the code, and it still matters, because every program we write runs inside one.

What PLC and SCADA platforms do you program?Bedford programs five PLC platforms in-house: Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, Omron, Phoenix Contact and Unitronics. Screen work covers Ignition, VTScada, AVEVA, FactoryTalk View and panel-mount HMIs. The usual networks are EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP and RTU, PROFINET and OPC UA.
How do I tell if it is the PLC program or the wiring?Most calls that look like software turn out to be a dead input channel, a 24VDC supply sagging under load, a comm timeout, or a signal scaled wrong after a sensor swap. The code only reports the symptom. Bedford crews include Red Seal industrial electricians, so one visit covers both sides.
Do you come to the plant, or is the work remote?Bedford works on site. The controls team sits in Dieppe NB and reaches the Maritimes by road: Amherst under an hour, Truro and Saint John about ninety minutes, Charlottetown under two hours, Halifax about two and a half. Remote support helps between visits, not instead of them.
Can you take over a system another integrator programmed?Yes, and it is routine work. The running program is uploaded and archived first, then read offline so missing tag names, comments, I/O lists and drawings can be rebuilt into something a maintenance team can follow. The documented program goes back to you, with no locked routines.
